Kidman researching Scorsese film role

Nicole Kidman is doing some first-hand research before deciding whether to portray Katherine Hepburn in The Aviator, Martin Scorsese's upcoming film about the young Howard Hughes.

Kidman has not yet contacted 96-year-old Hepburn but the New York Daily News reports that she was at New York’s Promenade Theatre to see Kate Mulgrew in Tea At Five, the one-woman play based on Hepburn’s life.

The Aviator will star Leonardo Di Caprio as Hughes in his days as a film studio boss and aeroplane designer and builder.
