Bafta to honour David Jason
Actor David Jason is to be honoured with a Bafta Fellowship for his outstanding contribution to television, it was announced today.
The Only Fools And Horses star will receive the award at the TV Baftas on Sunday.
He joins a list of distinguished names including John Thaw, Albert Finney and Dame Judi Dench, who were all previous recipients.
Jason, 63, is one of Britain’s best-loved TV stars and has won three Baftas for his acting talents.
His famous roles include Del Boy in Only Fools And Horses, Granville in Open All Hours, Pa Larkin in The Darling Buds of May and Inspector Jack Frost in A Touch Of Frost.
He is set to make probably his final appearance as Del Boy in a special episode to be screened this Christmas.
