Public wants revenge on Michael and Catherine

Hollywood couple Catherine Zeta Jones and Michael Douglas are the celebrities who most deserve to get their comeuppance, according to a poll out today.

The Welsh actress and her American husband topped the list of smug stars who need taking down a peg or two.

Their appearance in the High Court to protest about Hello! magazine’s sneaky snaps of their wedding has not gone down well.

The survey of 500 people asked which famous faces they would most like to get revenge on.

Zeta Jones and Douglas polled nearly one quarter of the votes for what was seen as diva-like behaviour.

Presenter Chris Tarrant came second for his smug performance on TV’s Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?, followed by prankster Jeremy Beadle.

Queen of Mean Anne Robinson was in fourth place with viewers keen to take revenge over the way she treats hapless contestants on BBC quiz The Weakest Link.

The poll was conducted by the makers of PlayStation 2 game Vexx to mark National Revenge Week, which begins today.
