Winslett makes circus trips

Kate Winslett has been paying regular visits to the circus as research for her next role.

She has visited the circus while she is in New York in order to do research for her next role as tiger trainer Mable Stark in a film based on the book The Final Confession of Mabel Stark.

The British actress went backstage at the circus at Madison Square Garden to meet Mark Oliver Gebel and his four-legged performers in The Greatest Show On Earth, reports the New York Post.

She was accompanied on one visit by Jim Carrey, her current co-star in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and on the next visit she took her family, according to the Post.
