Here's another film, which, like Blue Crush, might initially have you looking the other way.

It's a martial arts yarn but it's quite an entertaining one in which we meet once again cop buddies Chan and Wilson, in what Hollywood thinks is London on the trail of the murderers of Chan's father.

It doesn't, of course, introduce your gray cells to one another, but there is still enough charm and excellent set-pieces and corny dialogue to keep you entertained. Dobkin's direction is sure and the film is full of sudden delights.

Sometimes it's the least promising films, which produce the goods, as this week's line-up shows.
