Osbournes heading for big screen

Ozzy Osbourne is heading for the big screen.

Paramount Pictures and MTV Films are joining up to make a film of the life of the heavy-metal star who found renewed fame as a dysfunctional dad on the hit reality television series The Osbournes.

A spokeswoman for the Osbournes confirmed the deal is in the works, although no writer or filmmakers have yet been hired and it has not yet been decided who will play Ozzy as a young man.

The film is expected to delve into the rock star’s 1970s life of sex and drugs as well as following his career with Black Sabbath and his marriage to Sharon, the daughter of rock manager Don Arden.
