Beyonce's album to be star-studded affair
Beyonce Knowles’s debut solo album is set to be a star-studded affair.
Featuring the likes of Jay-Z, P Diddy and the Neptunes, the bootylicious Destiny’s Child member has been working on the album, Dangerously In Love, with Missy Elliott and Luther Vandross confirmed to appear on the record.
Sean Paul is also reported to have recorded a track with the R&B star.
The album, which is nearing completion, is scheduled to be released in May.
Beyonce’s father, manager and mentor Matthew Knowles, said that she was due to go into the studio in the near future with rapper Jay-Z, who she is rumoured to be dating.
The pair had already collaborated on the Top 10 duet, ‘03 Bonnie & Clyde.
Work is also scheduled with P Diddy and the Neptunes, with a total of 14 songs earmarked for the album. Matthew Knowles explained fans claimed the record would ultimately be far more than a simple Destiny’s Child off-shoot.
He said: “Fans will see a vocal edge of Beyonce that they have not seen in Destiny’s Child. This is a pure R&B record.”
