Cinema fans choose ideal sexy star

The ultimate screen sex symbol would have the body of Catherine Zeta Jones and the bottom of Jennifer Lopez, cinemagoers said.

They opted for stars with fuller figures after being asked to identify their favourite features.

Visitors to UCI cinemas who took part in the poll said the ideal female screen beauty would have Kate Winslet’s eyes and Julia Roberts’s smile.

Friends star Jennifer Aniston’s glossy locks topped off the look after being judged the best hairstyle.

The 2,000 film fans said the fantasy star would have the overall sense of humour of Sandra Bullock and the sex appeal of Halle Berry.

The male version would have the smile of Tom Cruise and the eyes of Robert Redford, while George Clooney’s salt and pepper thatch was judged the best hairdo.

He would have the body of Brad Pitt and Patrick Swayze’s bottom.

Fans opted for the attributes of a number of older stars to complete their ultimate male, with Jack Nicholson’s sex appeal and Woody Allen’s humour.

UCI spokeswoman Lianne Chenery said: “Everybody has a list of pin-up film stars and it’s great to imagine that you could take all their best bits and create the ultimate screen icon.

“Digital technology means that celebrities in films and in magazines are now retouched, dubbed and airbrushed to ensure that they appear flawless – so perhaps this isn’t too far distant a fantasy after all.”
