Drag queen crowned as Miss Alter Ego

Miss Alter Ego has been crowned alternative Miss Ireland 2003.

The Dublin drag queen caught the eye of judges ahead of eleven of her rivals from around the country that competed in daywear, swimwear and evening wear categories at the Olympia Theatre.

She is the ninth groovy-alternative feline to win the gay and lesbian hoot, which raises funds for AIDS and HIV charities.
