Veteran comic Bob Monkhouse was rewarded for his contribution to the entertainment world today as he landed a special prize at a showbusiness awards ceremony.

Veteran comic Bob Monkhouse was rewarded for his contribution to the entertainment world today as he landed a special prize at a showbusiness awards ceremony.

The 74-year-old star – who has been battling cancer since 2001 – was honoured at the Television and Radio Industries Club awards in London.
