Cumming wants Catherine for Coming Out
The Scottish actor-comedian Alan Cumming is talking with Catherine Zeta-Jones about starring in her first film as a producer, the rugby comedy Coming Out.
He would play a flamboyantly gay West End performer who inherits a Welsh rugby team and has to battle local prejudice and debt to win the ruby championship.
Zeta-Jones will play a Welsh hairdresser who falls for his brother. “It’s an idea my brothers and I came up with,” she told a Los Angeles press conference.
“It’s a feel-good kind of Billy Elliott-meets-The Full Monty kind of thing and there’s music in it too.”
The film, which will be shot in England and Wales, will be produced by Zeta-Jones and her brother, David Jones.
