Do not disturb!

Which brings us to this indifferent romantic comedy in which Lopez plays a hard-working maid in a top New York hotel. She tries for a promotion and at this point you know things are not going to run smoothly. There is, alas, a lot about this film which you know is going to happen; long before it does.

It is the sort of film which has clearly been written by joining up the dots. It has little invention or originality to it and though there are passable performances - Richardson is particularly memorable as a snide socialite - the film comes across as an empty piece of low-interest entertainment.

Lopez, who has yet to convince us that she is an actress of depth, does her best as the central character in the face of a screenplay which seems to have been abandoned halfway through. It is also one of those comedies which isn't all that funny; A joins B and then C and D!

Star Rating:1/5.
