Pearl Harbour star to split from lover

Kate Beckinsale, the star of Pearl Harbour, is to split from her lover Michael Sheen, according to reports.

The couple, who have been together seven years and have a four-year-old child, separated two months ago.

According to the Sunday Mirror Ms Beckinsale's publicist, Lisa Kasteller, insists that no-one else is involved in the separation, which occurred shortly after the couple moved to Los Angeles.

Ms Beckinsale is currently in Prague filming Van Helsing, a vampire movie, while Mr Sheen is rehearsing for the lead role of Caligula at the Donmar Warehouse in Covent Garden, London.
