Edwards to remake 1979 hit film '10'
Writer-director Blake Edwards is to remake his 1979 film hit 10, which made international stars out of Dudley Moore and Bo Derek.
Filming is due to begin in August in the UK although no casting has yet been announced.
âIn the 25 years since I made the original, 10 has become synonymous with perfection around the world,â Edwards told Daily Variety. âIt is one of my favourite films and though the look will be new, the message is still the same.
Itâs a classic âgrass is always greenerâ tale â sexy and fun â that will resonate in todayâs marketplace.â
Edwards, whose films include Breakfast at Tiffanyâs, Victor/Victoria and the Pink Panther series, has not said whether there will be a role in the new 10 for his wife Julie Andrews, who co-starred in the original.
