Day Lewis to team up with wife for film
Daniel-Day Lewis, who is known for choosing his projects with the utmost care, has decided to team up with his wife, Rebecca Miller, for his next film, according to the Daily Variety.
The Oscar nominee is to star in Rose And The Snake, a family drama co-written and directed Rebecca, who is the daughter of playwright Arthur Miller.
He will play the father of 16-year-old Rose, a daughter whom he has raised in an abandoned commune on an island off the coast of Canada where he has tried to shield her from the modern world.
However, their lives change with devastating consequences when he brings a lover and her two sons to live with them.
Rose and the Snake will be the couple’s first collaboration on a film.
Rebecca Miller’s previous film, Personal Velocity, which she wrote and directed, has been nominated for this year’s Independent Spirit Awards and won the 2002 Grand Jury Prize at Sundance.
