Norah Jones’ music is little known in India – but her Grammys sweep brought a feeling of pride and joy to one home in New Delhi, where her father Ravi Shankar – India’s best-known musician – sat watching the awards ceremony.

Jones, 23, is the daughter of Shankar, the 82-year-old sitar maestro and three-time Grammy winner who gained fame in the West largely for his influence on the Beatles.
