Molina to star in Spider-man sequel
British star Alfred Molina is to play Spider-Man’s arch enemy Doctor Octopus in the next film about the web-slinging hero.
Molina – who is up for a Bafta this weekend for his role in Frida – will join the crew to begin filming in April.
Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst will again head the cast – as Spider-Man and Mary Jane Watson – for the film which will be released next year.
Last year’s Spider-Man movie took more than half a billion euro at the box office worldwide.
