Sports Illustrated unveils new swimsuit edition

Sports Illustrated has released photographs from its new swimsuit edition, which goes on sale this week.

Gracing this year’s cover is 24-year-old Czech model Petra Nemcova, who has appeared in adverts for Victoria’s Secret, La Perla and Max Factor.

Inside, Wimbledon champion Serena Williams, 21, dons a striking white bikini to join the illustrious collection of models who have appeared in the annual special edition of the American magazine.

Other models who have appeared in the legendary swimsuit editions since they were launched in 1964 are Elle Macpherson, Tyra Banks, Rachel Hunter and Heidi Klum.

The magazine also includes husband and wife snaps of sports stars cavorting with their partners in their swimsuits.
