Oscar-nominated actress Kate Hudson will present the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Scientific and Technical Awards next month.
A total of 14 awards will be presented during the black-tie gala dinner at a plush Beverly Hills hotel including three Oscar statuettes.
And parts of the special presentation will be taped and included in the March 23 Oscars broadcast.
Hudson, who is currently starring in romantic comedy How To Lose a Guy in Ten Days, was nominated for an Oscar for her role as groupie Penny Lane in Almost Famous.
Her other film credits include The Four Feathers, 200 Cigarettes and Dr T and the Women.
She’ll next be seen in Le Divorce with Naomi Watts, Glenn Close and Stockard Channing and also recently finished filming director Rob Reiner's film Loosely Based on a True Love Story.
Scientific and Technical awards are presented by the Academy for devices, methods, formulas, discoveries or inventions of special value to the arts and science of movies.
