Hollywood hot list to attend Bafta awards

Top Hollywood stars including Renee Zellweger, Nicole Kidman and Nicolas Cage are among celebrities due to attend this weekend’s Bafta film awards, it was announced today.

They join a long list of high-profile nominees who will trot down the red carpet at Britain’s biggest annual movie bash.

Home-grown talent on the shortlist such as Catherine Zeta Jones and Michael Caine will also be at the event in London’s Leicester Square Odeon.

Guests presenters at this Sunday’s event – formally known as the Orange British Academy Film Awards – include Oscar winner Jim Broadbent, Michael Douglas and Lara Croft star Angelina Jolie.

The awards are being broadcast on BBC1 that evening.
