Jacko had 'well over' 50 operations - claim
Michael Jackson has had “well over” 50 operations on his face, a Los Angeles plastic surgeon claims.
In a controversial interview with British journalist Martin Bashir, the King of Pop would only admit to a couple of nose jobs – which he claimed he needed for medical reasons.
But Dr Wallace Goodstein, who shared a practice with Jackson’s main plastic surgeon, told a US television show he believes the singer has remade his face through a horrific number of operations.
His claim is part of Michael Jackson Unmasked, a one hour NBC special.
Bashir’s documentary attracted millions of viewers when it was screened on both sides of the Atlantic last week – and offered a disturbing look at the star’s bizarre private life.
Unmasked will also feature an exclusive interview with Bill Dworin, who investigated claims in 1993 that Jackson had molested a young boy.
Jackson was never charged but paid the boy a reported £12 million in an out-of-court settlement.
Dworin, a retired Los Angeles police detective, will reveal details of what officers found in Jackson’s home during that investigation.
“We will deal with Jackson’s plastic surgery and will also deal with other things, like his finances, his friendships and his family to some degree,” Dateline executive producer David Corvo said.
“Why has his look changed so much? In a funny way, you can almost parallel the changes in his look to the changes in his fortunes,” Corvo said. “We are not going to be judgmental.”
