Comedian Johnny Vegas and singer Jennifer Lopez are the celebrities with the most “come to bed” eyes, according to a survey published today.

Superstar Michael Jackson – currently at the centre of a storm surrounding a controversial documentary on his life – has the least sexy eyes, the survey said.

Happiness star Vegas was voted for by 18% of those questioned, closely followed by Hollywood heartthrobs George Clooney and Denzel Washington.

J-Lo received more than a quarter of the votes, leaving Natalie Imbruglia and Kelly Brook in second and third place.

Actress and comedian Kathy Burke is the woman with the least “come to bed” eyes, the poll for Specsavers Opticians found.

The study also showed that 63% of women believed that they had experienced love at first sight.

Men were more cynical, with just 17% believing in love at first sight - although considerably more – 56% – believed in lust at first sight.

Both men and women, 82% and 73% respectively, found brown eyes sexier than any other colour.

Out of those surveyed, 33% wear prescription eyewear but only 2% keep their glasses on between the sheets.

The partners of people who wear glasses confirmed that specs do look sexy, with 58% agreeing that they thought their lover looked sexier in their specs.
