Kidman tipped to play Catwoman role
Golden girl Nicole Kidman is being tipped to play the title role in a new Catwoman movie.
The star – who is expected to win an Oscar nomination next week for her role as Virginia Woolf in British director Stephen Daldry's drama The Hours – is fielding offers for practically every project in Tinseltown.
Now, says The Hollywood Report, Warner Brothers want her to play the title role in their new movie Catwoman.
While she has been offered the role, she is apparently waiting for the latest draft of the script before making any decisions.
Ashley Judd was due to star in the picture which is about a cat-loving gymnast who runs an animal-grooming business. It is not clear why she is no longer involved in the picture.
In the movie, the gymnast is an ordinary woman, but her alter ego, Catwoman, is superconfident and fights evil.
The character was originally introduced in the Batman comic book series before becoming a heroine in her own right.
