Elle Macpherson gives birth to baby boy

Supermodel Elle Macpherson has given birth to a baby boy, it was announced tonight.

Aurelius Cy Andrea Busson was born yesterday morning by natural delivery, weighing 7lbs 11oz.

He is the second child for Macpherson and her fiance, French banker Arpad Busson. They already have a four-year-old son called Flynn.

Macpherson, 38, gave birth at the exclusive St John and St Elizabeth Hospital in north-west London, the favoured choice of Kate Moss, Sadie Frost and Jerry Hall.

She is the second supermodel to have a baby this week – Claudia Schiffer left hospital today with her son Caspar.

A statement from Macpherson’s publicist said: “Elle Macpherson and Arpad Busson welcome a baby boy into the world. Aurelius Cy Andrea Busson will be a cherished brother to their son Flynn who turns five on Valentine’s Day.”

The Australian-born model and actress lives with Busson in Notting Hill, west London.
