Schwarzenegger recovering from shoulder surgery
The Terminator is on the road to recovery.
Arnold Schwarzenegger was happy and upbeat today after undergoing surgery to repair a shoulder injury suffered while performing a motorcycle stunt for his forthcoming film Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines.
The 55-year-old star tore the rotator cuff in his left shoulder last autumn but opted against surgery at the time to avoid holding up production on his film. He was admitted to St John’s Health Centre in Santa Monica, California on Wednesday and released on Thursday.
“Apparently he’s doing well,” said his publicist, Jill Eisenstadt. “He’s looking forward to just getting back to work and being able to work out.”
Schwarzenegger will have to wear a sling to immobilise his shoulder for three to four weeks, she said.
However, he is expected to make all of his scheduled appearances, including a multistate tour for his Inner-City Games Foundation next week, she said.
Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines is scheduled for release on July 2.
