Fans favour Law as next Bond

British actor Jude Law is the movie buff’s choice to become the next 007, according to a new survey.

The star, who recently appeared in Road to Perdition and next appears in Cold Mountain, won more than a quarter of the votes, finishing just ahead of Scot Ewan McGregor.

Law pulled in 28% of the votes while 31-year-old Star Wars actor McGregor earned 26% and American Psycho actor Christian Bale won 24% in the Total Film magazine poll.

Meanwhile, just 2% of voters wanted About A Boy star Hugh Grant to replace James Bond actor Pierce Brosnan when he gives up the mantle.

Readers ranked Spider-Man star Kirsten Dunst as the world’s hottest actress while Orlando Bloom, star of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, was named as the hottest male.

More than 5,000 people took part in the magazine poll which was compiled in conjunction with Warner Village Cinemas.
