DJ Zoe takes holiday amid affair claims

DJ Zoe Ball was today beginning a two-week break from her radio show after claims of an alleged affair with a drummer.

The presenter, who was given time off for “personal reasons” by London station 104.9 XFM, separated from husband Norman Cook a week ago after they admitted experiencing marriage difficulties.

A spokeswoman for the radio station confirmed that the 32-year-old would miss this week before taking a seven-day, pre-planned holiday.

She will be replaced for the first week by fellow DJ Ian Baker followed by former Big Breakfast host Richard Bacon.

“Zoe will not be presenting her Drive Time show on XFM this week due to personal reasons,” the spokeswoman said.

“She has also had the following week booked off on holiday anyway so she’ll be missing for a fortnight.”

Ball, who has been living in north London for several days a week after taking the job at XFM, and her 39-year-old husband who continues to live at their home in Hove, East Sussex, have blamed hectic workloads for their difficulties.
