Actor O'Toole to get Oscar

Irish actor Peter O'Toole is set to receive an honorary Oscar at this year's awards ceremony.

O'Toole has been nominated for an academy award seven times for his parts in films such as Laurence of Arabia.

However, this honorary Oscar is being presented for what have been called his 'remarkable talents' which have provided cinema history with some of its most memorable characters.

The award will be presented to O'Toole during the 75th award ceremony this March.
