What a Carvey-Up

The Master of Disguise

Director: Perry Andelin Blake

Cast: Dana Carvey, Brent Spiner, Jennifer Esposito, James Brolin

Cert: PG.

Carvey is, of course, the 'forgotten' half of the Wayne's World duo (Mike 'Austin Powers' Myers is the other); no wonder he's in obscurity.

This awful film is merely an excuse for Carvey to re-work his TV material in a series of cameo - and largely unfunny - sketches about, as if it mattered, saving the world. Even at this stage, abject boredom sets in.

Even a role for dear old Data from Star Trek - Spiner - fails to enlist our attention or make us search for small, hidden gems of wit. They don't exist in this mountain of dross.

Star Rating: 1/5.
