Salma's Globe frock under lock and key
Mexican actress Salma Hayek was keeping mum on what she’ll be wearing for Sunday’s Golden Globes ceremony as she charmed guests at a Beverly Hills party this week.
Hayek, who is nominated for a best actress award for her role in Frida, was among celebrities at the event marking the 75th anniversary of the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel – where the Julia Roberts hit Pretty Woman was filmed - and the launch of diamond company De Beers’ first retail line of jewellery in the States.
The petite star giggled: “I’ve got an outfit picked out but I’m not allowed to tell you what it is.”
The actress, who was sporting a diamond bracelet in honour of the event, did say: “I won’t be wearing diamonds though.”
Hayek says she is delighted with her nomination for her performance as the late Mexican artist Frida Kahlo after fighting for years to bring her story to the big screen.
She faces competition for the award from Julianne Moore, who co-hosted the De Beers party at the Beverly Wilshire hotel, and Nicole Kidman, Meryl Streep and Diane Lane.
