The Tuxedo doesn't fit Chan

Chan is an acquired taste; and only worth a small corner of our plates. He is not in himself an unsavory niblet, it's just that too many of his all-action films are too downright naff to send us home on a full stomach.

The Tuxedo

Director: Kevin Donovan

Cast: Jackie Chan, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Jason Isaacs, Peter Stormare

Cert: PG12.

Chan is an acquired taste; and only worth a small corner of our plates.

He is not in himself an unsavory niblet, it's just that too many of his all-action films are too downright naff to send us home on a full stomach.

Here, he plays a cab driver whose regular client is a spy. On the departure of the spy, Chan discovers a magical jacket which gives him great martial arts skills.

Naff or what!

For all his charm, Chan cannot sustain a film on such dismal foundations and Tux ends up as a mess best left untouched.
