Mike Leigh's film All or Nothing has received five nominations for this year's London Film Critics' Awards.

Mike Leigh's film All or Nothing has received five nominations for this year's London Film Critics' Awards.

Leigh is nominated as best British director, best British screenwriter and the film itself, which stars Timothy Spall, is competing for best British movie.

Sam Mendes' Road to Perdition, and Ken Loach's Sweet Sixteen both have three nominations each for the event on February 12.

Sir Michael Caine is up for best actor for his role in The Quiet American, while Halle Berry's performance in Monster's Ball is recognised with in the best actress category.

Samantha Morton, Miranda Richardson and Lesley Manville are also in the running for best British actress.

Chiwetel Ejiofor, Hugh Grant and Ralph Fiennes are competing for the best British actor award.
