US man finds potential wife through window advert

An American man who advertised for a wife in the window of his house has found a potential candidate.

Steve Horowitz has dated nearly 60 women after placing a large sign reading "Wife Wanted" in front of his Michigan home.

But the 53-year-old says he was so taken with one woman after their lunch date, he has taken the sign down.

The woman says she is "intrigued" by Horowitz and open to the idea of a relationship.

She describes herself as about a decade younger than her suitor, college-educated, childless and never-married.

Horowitz told the Grand Rapids Press: "I think this really could be the one."

"It's a bizarre way to meet somebody but I never would have met this woman otherwise."
