Portman voted America's fantasy New Year date

Natalie Portman has been voted America’s favourite fantasy New Year’s Eve date.

The Star Wars siren beat off Oscar winner Halle Berry in the poll organised by video store Blockbuster.

Naomi Watts finished third ahead of Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman and Jennifer Lopez.

xXx star Vin Diesel was the favourite date for women, ahead of British actors Colin Firth and Ralph Fiennes, and bad boy rapper Eminem.
