Minnelli sues for €22m

Liza Minnelli and her husband David Gest have filed a €22m breach of contract lawsuit against US TV channel VH1.

The cable network cancelled of the couple’s fly-on-the wall TV programme before it hit the air.

Minnelli and Gest were set to star in VH1’s answer to The Osbournes, but the network shelved the programme claiming that Gest was meddling, uncooperative, and a nightmare to work with.

According to the complaint filed in New York State Supreme Court, VH1 was to pay the newlyweds at least £790,000 (€1.2m) for 10 one-hour episodes.
