Raggy Boy is Sundance bound

The Irish film Song for a Raggy Boy is off to the famous Sundance Film Festival in January.

Based on the true story of one man's fight against the tough regime in a boys' Irish Reformatory School in 1939, will be in competition at the fest from January 18-26 and there are hopes that it follows the success this year of the award-winning Bloody Sunday.

Directed by Aisling Walsh and shot in Ballyvournery in County Cork, the film stars Aidan Quinn, Iain Glenn and Marc Warren.
