Peter Kay to donate show proceeds to charities

Peter Kay is to donate the proceeds from two shows on his latest tour to charity.

The comedian will hand over the cash from the January shows - at Manchester Apollo and Blackpool Opera House - to a number of worthy causes.

The award-winning star will give proceeds to the NSPCC and the Christie's Against Cancer charity among others.

Both venues have also agreed to donate their hire fees to charity.
