I prefer sleeping alone, says Jack

Legendary ladies man Jack Nicholson today confessed he is losing his libido, and that he now prefers to sleep alone.

The father of four said, at 65, his sex drive is dwindling.

“I’m a different guy here in my 60s. I don’t have the same libido,” he told Newsweek magazine.

“It used to be that I didn’t think I could go to sleep if I wasn’t involved in some kind of amorous contact or another. Well, I spend a lot of time sleeping alone these days.”

Nicholson, who was once described by Kim Basinger as “the most highly sexed individual I have ever met“, said the experience had been liberating.

“It wasn’t until the last few years that I became completely comfortable with it. You know, my fear is that I’m beginning to prefer it.”

The actor has enjoyed a string of romances with Hollywood beauties, most recently being seen alongside Lara Flynn Boyle, 31-year-old star of The Practice.

He boasted his reputation as one of the great lovers had been well deserved, commenting: “I have had a very expressive life in that area.”

But the Oscar winner said his days of all night partying are now over.

“There are a lot of crazy nitwit things that I can’t do any longer.

“I can’t work on a movie for 12, 14 hours a day, then go out and burn the streets down to the ground all night. I don’t have the energy for it.”
