Live tour for Fame Academy stars
The wannabe pop stars of the BBC’s Fame Academy are to embark on a 12-date UK tour, it emerged today.
The BBC said all the students would be reunited to perform together in the live concerts which will begin from April next year.
BBC Worldwide, in association with Marshall Arts, has already confirmed three shows; the SECC in Glasgow on April 4, the Odyssey Arena in Belfast on April 5 and Wembley Arena in London on April 15.
A further nine dates in venues across the UK are expected to be announced during the next week.
Three students are left in the competition and will compete for a £1m (€1.56m) record deal, with accompanying celebrity lifestyle, next week.
Irish girl Sinead Quinn, 22, David Sneddon, 24, and Lemar Obika, 23, are fighting for the prize after a series of rounds in which the public and students voted out other contenders.
