Gene Hackman to receive special Golden Globe
Gene Hackman is to receive a special outstanding contribution award at next year's Golden Globes.
He will collect the Cecil B DeMille Award at the 60th Annual Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles on January 19.
He has previously won Globe trophies for his work in The French Connection, Unforgiven and The Royal Tenenbaums.
Past DeMille winners include Harrison Ford, Al Pacino, Barbra Streisand, Jack Nicholson, Shirley MacLaine, Dustin Hoffman, Sean Connery and Sophia Loren.
The full nominations for the ceremony will be announced on December 19.
Meanwhile, Dominik Garcia-Lorido and AJ Lamas have been selected as Miss and Mr Golden Globe for this year's awards ceremony, according to Hollywood Reporter.
Traditionally, Miss and Mr Golden Globe, who assist in the Golden Globes ceremony, are the daughter and son of well-known performers.
Garcia-Lorido is the daughter of actor Andy Garcia and has appeared as an actress in the film Steal Big, Steal Little, while Lamas is the son of actor Lorenzo Lamas and has a regular role in US weekly series American Family.
