Farrell in line for two new movies
Irish actor Colin Farrell is fast becoming one of Hollywood’s hottest properties.
The star of Minority Report and Hart’s War is now in negotiations to star in two more movies – The Jacket to be directed by Antoine Faqua and the independent feature film Home at the End of the World for director Michael Mayer.
The actor is currently in production on Columbia Pictures’ film S.W.A.T. and is expected to go into production on The Jacket in March before moving to Home at the End of the World around May.
The Jacket is about a man (Farrell) imprisoned for a murder he did not commit. While being tortured, he is able to foresee how and when he will be killed. By moving through altered states, he tries to figure out a way to prolong his life so he can solve his own murder.
Home at the End of the World is based on a novel by Michael Cunningham about boyhood friends Bobby and Jonathan, who grew up in Cleveland, Ohio during the 1960s and 1970s. Both come from dysfunctional families.
Now older, they move to New York and end up living together with an eccentric woman named Clare. The trio lead an unusual life together as Jonathan is gay and Bobby (Farrell) fathers Clare’s baby.
