Universal to make fourth Jurassic Park

Universal Pictures is making a fourth instalment of the hit movie Jurassic Park.

The Hollywood trade press report that the picture will be written by William Monohan and produced by Kathleen Kennedy and Steven Spielberg.

It will again take the theme of hapless humans pitted against dinosaurs created from ancient strands of DNA although full details of the story are being kept under wraps.

Spielberg directed the first Jurassic Park (1993) and its 1997 sequel The Lost World: Jurassic Park.

The most recent 2001 movie was made by Joe Johnston. As yet, no director is on board the fourth film.

Monahan previously wrote 20th Century Fox’s historical drama Tripoli for director Ridley Scott. He is also working with Scott on an untitled 11th century Crusades drama.
