Brown arrested on drug charges

Bobby Brown has been arrested on drug and traffic charges in Atlanta.

The singer has been charged with possession of marijuana, speeding, driving without a licence and having no proof of insurance.

Brown, 33, who is married to Whitney Houston, was stopped in the fashionable Buckhead area. The couple have a home in the city.

A spokeswoman for Atlanta City Jail, where Brown was taken, told the BBC: "He's made a bond with us and is awaiting transfer to DeKalb."

Brown enjoyed international fame in the 1980s and 90s with hits like My Prerogative, On Our Own and Two Can Play That Game.
