J-Lo 'set to announce engagement to Affleck'

Actress and signer Jennifer Lopez is to announce her engagement to Ben Affleck on television in the United States, it was reported today.

She will end weeks of speculation by telling the ABC network she plans to marry for the third time, according to veteran New York Post columnist Cindy Adams.

Lopez, 32, set the Hollywood rumour mill grinding when she was spotted wearing a pink diamond ring given to her by Affleck last month.

She also admitted the couple had discussed marriage and starting a family.

The pair star together in upcoming films Gigli and Jersey Girl, which are due to be released next year.

Lopez said Affleck, 30, was her muse on her new album, This is Me...Then, which is launched later this month.

Adams first broke the news that Lopez had split from her second husband, dancer Cris Judd, earlier this year.
