Chart star Pink left British TV chiefs red-faced today after wearing a t-shirt with blue language on a children’s show.

The Like A Pill singer wore the shirt with the phrase “you f in’ bitch” during an edition of ITV1 Saturday morning show CD:UK.

TV regulator the Independent Television Commission upheld complaints from viewers today, saying such language should be confined to after the 9pm watershed.

The performance had been pre-recorded but none of the TV production staff had noticed the lettering when they watched the tape before it was screened.

Broadcaster London Weekend Television said it regretted the lapse.

The ITC rejected complaints about a TV dramatisation of the serial murderer Harold Shipman’s case, saying it was handled with “sensitivity” and told in a “wholly unsensational way”.

It reserved the right to reconsider its decision following a forthcoming report by watchdog the Broadcasting Standards Commission.
