The world premiere of the widely anticipated new Harry Potter film was taking place today.

Fans of schoolboy wizard Harry and his magical adventures were expected to gather outside the Odeon cinema in Leicester Square, London, in the hope of catching a glimpse of their favourite characters arriving at the screening.
