Costner recovering after appendix op
Actor-director Kevin Costner is recuperating at his Los Angeles area home following surgery last week to remove his appendix.
The surgery was described as a common appendectomy and wasn’t serious, according to his spokesman.
"He is recovering at his home in Los Angeles for two weeks. He has another week at home," publicist Paul Bloch said.
There were no further details.
Costner, 47, won best-director and best-picture Oscars for the 1990 epic film Dances With Wolves.
He also starred in the movie. The actor, who recently starred in thriller Dragonfly with Kathy Bates, next appears in a Western called Open Range. The film is currently shooting.
