Murphy lands major role in Webber film

Irish actor Cillian Murphy has landed one of the leading roles in Peter Webber's film Girl With a Pearl Earring.

The film is based on the novel by Tracy Chevalier about the famous Vermeer painting.

Murphy can be seen in the upcoming Danny Boyle sci-fi thriller, 28 Days Later.
