Wright 'mortified' by Ulrika slip

TV presenter Matthew Wright was today said to be ‘‘absolutely mortified’’ after his ‘‘slip of the tongue’’ live on air identified the man at the centre of the Ulrika Jonsson date rape allegations.

Wright, a former tabloid journalist, apologised to viewers this morning after yesterday’s mistake on his Five show The Wright Stuff.
