Bjork to release six-CD boxset
Bjork is to release a six-CD box set covering music from her whole career.
Family Tree will include Bjork's releases as a solo artist as well as during her time with the Sugarcubes.
It will go on sale on November 7, the same day as her new Greatest Hits album.
The Family Tree project will include one CD on which Bjork compiles her own 12-track greatest hits, and a series of 3 inch mini-CDs divided into Roots, Beats and Strings collections.
The two mini Roots discs will together comprise 10 tracks, including some Sugarcubes tracks and Sidasta Egi, a piece Bjork wrote on the flute when she was 15.
The Beats CD, which comprises 4 tracks, displays the very first experiments in rhythm she recorded with Graham Massey and Mark Bell after leaving The Sugarcubes.
The two Strings CDs feature the classical arrangements of Bjork's songs by the Brodsky Quartet first heard when they played together at the Union Chapel, London, in 2000.
The boxset will also include a 16 page lyric book as well as a map guiding fans through the Family Tree collection.
